Cape Town born Faithful to Nature, the socially responsible retailer, has spent 15 years building a community of conscious shoppers, and they’re changing the world one cart at a time. Today, Faithful to Nature is SA’s #1 online destination for natural alternatives and sustainable health and wellbeing products that are better for you, the community and our planet.
In 2020, the brand committed to landmark promises, setting a standard for shoppers, and the e-commerce industry as a whole. This year, Faithful to Nature is continuing to follow through with their commitments, with projects geared towards a future made up of better choices.
South Africa’s First Major Retailer Providing Carbon Neutral Delivery, Nationwide.
The business, in collaboration with The Green House, calculated the carbon emissions of their consumer deliveries nationwide. Now, in an effort to curb these emissions, Faithful to Nature is investing in projects that reduce emissions equal to their own carbon footprint. For the rest of 2021, this project is The Wonderbag Project, making shopping online at Faithful to Nature a carbon neutral experience, so there’s less impact on the climate than anywhere else, unless you choose to visit the store yourself.
Warehouse #2 Is Up and Running in Johannesburg
Another way that the brand is working to reduce emissions is to minimise the number of km travelled, and to support this Faithful to Nature has opened their JHB warehouse to minimise long-distance and air-freight from their Cape Town warehouse.
A New Partner: The Earthchild Project
Always one to support small business and grassroots charities making a real difference in the world, Faithful to Nature now allows shoppers to support the Earthchild Project – a South African NPO developing young activists and leaders through education, with an aim to empower kids who will grow up and work towards a greener future.
Less Is More With Paper
The brand has committed to achieving a 100% waste-free warehouse. This led to the decision of discontinuing their paper invoices in 2020, as part of their 14th birthday campaign – ultimately saving around 30 000 sheets of paper per month.
A Premium Own Label Range in a Time of Decline
The company has expanded its offering. This includes the Faithful to Nature own label creations – from 100% plastic-free pantry staples to natural beauty essentials. Each product is a champion in their respective categories, and they won’t break the bank, either!
Know More and Choose Better With Their Ingredient Library.
Faithful to Nature believes in educating shoppers with a view to create a more informed and therefore sustainable world. The retailer drives conscious buying by empowering shoppers with the knowledge they need to make responsible, informed decisions. This means providing complete disclosure in terms of ingredients, how products are made, where they come from, and the trade values associated with them (Fair Production), allowing them the security of full transparency of purchases they make.
How Faithful to Nature Chooses What They Sell
The company has refined their Better Product Pillars, used to screen every product available online and in-store. Coming soon to their onboarding standards will be the new Faithful to Nature Choice endorsement, for products or brands that surpass the required conscious standard, serving as a purchasing guide for consumers and further promoting sustainable shopping choices.
They’re Giving Back for their Birthday!
And because October is their birthday month, they’d like you to join them in celebrating the milestone of 15 years of better choices, by taking advantage of even greater discounts on some of your most trusted and loved eco brands. They’re giving you up to 60% off on products across popular brands such as Triple Orange, SKOON. skincare, Sally Anne Crede collagen, Okja plant-based milks, Faithful to Nature Own Label, Dr Bronner, Wazoogles, Grumpy Snacks and many others.
Faithful to Nature is doing things right, and will continue working towards developing new and innovative ways to enable and promote sustainable, responsible choices… better for you, and the planet.
