Essentology uses only the essentials. They believe this is key to improving skin health and, of course, the environment. Basically, they think chemicals are lame and that unnecessary packaging should be banned. Which we do to!
The key ingredient in all their products is organic full-spectrum CBD oil, which has proven anti-oxidant properties that expedite the healing process. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties that soothe the skin; stress relief properties that help maintain homeostasis and what we also love is that it minimises wrinkles!
Why we love them
We love that they include CBD oil into the whole range including the sunscreen and are all about being 100% natural. Known for its healing properties cannabidiol offers some serious antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits which can be beneficial in treating skin concerns like inflammation, dryness and free radical damage. We recently tried out the the skin repair balm, moisturising face cream, mineral sunscreen and the tissue oil. The texture of their products are amazing and we like the fact that the sunscreen and moisturiser are thick and super moisturising yet don’t leave too much of a white cast. The balm also really keeps hands moisturised for long and would assist those with skin conditions such as eczema and chapped skin.
How the brand started
The Founder, Greg’s, skincare journey started about 10 years ago. Back then it was nearly impossible to find a chemical-free sunscreen. Being fair-skinned and fed up, Greg decided to make his own. Fast forward seven years and he became the king of mineral sunscreens (that’s what they cll him over at Essentology). He didn’t stop there and went on to create a range of skincare products. All natural, all organic, all eco-friendly and all made with love!
