Last night Men’s Health hosted the only event on the SA calendar dedicated solely to men’s fashion – the fourth annual Men’s Health Menswear Collection driven by The New Jetta. The show brought together 15 of South Africa’s leading retailers to showcase their summer trends and ranges.

At the event the audience got to see the latest in men’s style from Brooksfield, Canterbury, Diesel, FCUK, Witchery, House of Monatic, Markham, Old Khaki, Pringle, JX and Stone Harbour, RE:, Studio W, Trenery and Country Road.

Men’s Health Fashion Director, Neil Doveton, commented on what was seen on the runway, “Menswear in SA has certainly caught up with our international counterparts – we aren’t lagging behind anymore and at last guys have variety and choice at their doorstep. I was very impressed by the fresh and modern ranges shown this year and am excited about this summer’s menswear offerings.”

Some well-known faces on the runway included Expresso presenter Ewan Strydom, top SA model Max Mmethi, soccer star Ryan Botha, and Top Billing presenter, Aiden Bennett.

The October issue of Men’s Health including the Summer Style Guide will be on sale on Monday 26 September 2011.
