Cape Town born, Tarryn Taylor has blown up, not only in the local, but the international modeling scene of late. This blonde beauty, gorgeous both inside and out, is definitely going places! We thought we’d catch up with her and see how it all began…

YM: How old were you when you started modeling professionally?

TT: I started when I was 16 but I don’t think I was ready for it, I took a lot of breaks between 6-8months at a time. I started getting serious about it again in the last year, 24, and I don’t think I’ve ever been more ready!

YM: Which agencies currently represent you?

TT: Outlaws Model Management in Cape Town,  Mega in Germany,  Zone in London and Spot 6 Toronto.

YM: Wow! So let’s talk beauty, what would you say are your top five “can’t live without” beauty products?

TT: Hmm top 5 beauty products are definitely Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream for lips, Baby powder for hair (weird I know), Bio Oil for skin, Body Shop Body Butter, and Nailpolish- I’m obssessive over nailpolish! (Laughs)

YM: Favourite modeling experience so far?

TT: I went to Mozambique for a week full of swimwear shooting with Durban based photographer Vaughan Treyvellan (he does Wonderbra & Mr Price). Otherwise, I did a TV Commercial for MTV Canada with my boyfriend which was loads of fun!

YM: Do you think you’ll still be modeling in five years time?

In 5 years time I would ideally like to be starring in a film, my real passion is acting but modelling is good practice for now!

YM: How would you describe your dream modeling job?

My dream modeling job is Sports Illustrated. I’m a contestant in the New Model Search competition at the moment which is pretty cool, I have wanted this for a REALLY long time & if I got it that would be a dream come true for sure! Also working with the best photographers is always a bonus, I would love to work with SA photographers: Gavin O’neil, Kristin-Lee Moolman, Jesse-Leigh Elford & ofcourse my friend Justin Polkey!
