Jungala Festival 2012

We welcome you back onto the forest floor, to reunite in ritual and percussive journeying, the tribe is bound by organic beats and animal cries. Deep hypnotic chanting, this is the earths audio magic. Bare feet pounding in unison in the second gathering of the army of dancers. Sweat and fire light illuminate the night in the most natural elevation of spirit. Beyond our bodies, play our souls over and underneath the bass-line, weaving and undulating higher levels of social consciousness. These are the chosen ones. Thick within the canopy of the jungle lies the playground of the tribe, the feathered and beaded midnight culprits of hedonistic pursuits. Erratic drum patterns and random bells, these are the sounds of Jungala…

Take the N1, at Exit 47 (Stellenbosch, Klapmuts Wellington) turn left onto R44 towards Wellington, drive 22kms until a set of traffic lights, turn left and follow the R44 for 45kms until Gouda turnoff, turn left and follow for 9kms and arrive at Ruigtevlei Farm (Buffalo Drift) on the left hand side.
