This summer it’s all about sharing the love, the love of colour that is! Hues such as: yellows, tomato reds, corals, emeralds, cobalt and turquoise are being splashed everywhere around the country this Summer. The catwalks, the streets and even our very own clothing stores are displaying all kinds of bright shades and prints!

It’s time to embrace colour this summer and YCLAD’s here to tell you how:

Being Bold

It may be daunting but don’t worry because we are here with a solution. You see, we’re all unique (as the cliche goes) and our skin tones are divided into cool and warm tones. If you have more of a cool tone, then you should stick to cooler hues such as cobalts, purples and emeralds. For those with a warm-toned skin colours like coral and citron yellow are best.

Although this is just a simple guideline, it all depends on your individual taste and how far you are willing to go with colour.

Remember, summer is fun and you should play around with the clothing and accessories you wear.

Doing demure

If you prefer the subtle look, you don’t have to go all out. Try pairing a colour item of your choosing with a neutral garment. For example, you could pair a bright red belt with a beige shirt and denims or combine a green skirt and bag with a canary yellow bag with a black outfit.
