The excitement for the inaugural HOLI ONE Colour Festival has been mounting since the official announcement in December. The Twittersphere and Facebook universe have been showered with colour from fans all around South Africa showing their enthusiasm and excitement for the event. On the 2nd of March 2013, The Grand Parade in Cape Town will be turned into a colourful extravaganza for one day only.
Adding to the spectacle of colour and celebration is the impressive line-up of the top electronic dance music DJ’s in the scene today. Kicking off the festivities at 12:00 will be Sadhu Sensi, with his eclectic mix of ethnic sounds then followed by DJ Mighty bringing an energetic fusion of house & jazz to the festival. Richard The Third will be taking festivalgoers on a rollercoaster ride of the best modern Bass music as he initiates the first throwing of the powder into the open sky at 14:00. From there onwards, countdowns will be made for the throwing of the powder on the hour, every hour until 22:00 creating the visual experience of a lifetime with the beautiful backdrop ofTable Mountain and the grand Cape Town City Hall.
By this time, festivalgoers will be covered in powder and enjoying the celebration of life, love and colour. Next up on the lineup will be world music maestro, Ma’orginal followed by Kid Fonque with his otherworldy rhythm and sounds. Mathias Schwarz, better known as Super Flu, from Germany will bring an international sound to the festival with some crispy bass beats and smoking hot performance. Toby2Shoes then hits the decks bringing his bouncy set to the HOLI ONE Colour Festival before the chart topping GoodLuck take the stage to watch the sun go down and the floodlights lit. As night falls, SAMA nominees, Mix n Blend and the master of drum ‘n bass, Niskerone will be gracing the decks to bring the harder beats and a mash up of musical genres as the floodlights hit the colour and everyone is celebrating the festival motto of ‘We Are All One’.

The Johannesburg HOLI ONE Colour Festival’s full line-up will be announced in March. This event will be taking place on the 6th of April at Emmarentia Dam.
