Hey Babe featuring Tasché, is the latest music video from his newest album, Dagdrome in Suburbia.

Francois wrote this song for his wife, Lauren, “Lauren and I hooked up in 2001. It was a wild and turbulent time, but she stuck it out with me. We stuck it out with each other and it worked out.  I’ve only written a few love songs, but all of them are for her. Thanks for being my biggest supporter and critic.”

NEW MUSIC VIDEO: Hey Babe ft. Tasché:

Francois van Coke & Tasché ON TOUR:

The success of Francois van Coke’s captivating Storytellers concert at the Cape Town International Convention Centre at the end of last year, created a demand for a tour of this kind. And this time he is taking his protégé, Tasché along with him.

Join Francois van Coke for a tour of intimate shows featuring acoustic renditions of his most popular hits and the stories these songs were born from.

Francois & Tasché will be backed by Die Gevaar guitarists Jedd Kossew and Richard Onraet. Francois will perform songs spanning his 17 years as front man of Fokofpolisiekar, Van Coke Kartel and as an award-winning solo artist.

In between, Francois will regale his audience with the background stories of timeless classics such as Toe Vind Ek Jou, Komma, Ek Skyn (Heilig), Tot Die Son Uitkom, as well as the story of him and Tasché winning season 3 of the popular The Voice SA singing competition.

Tasché will not only join Francois on stage, but will also be performing some of her own original material and cover versions, as performed on The Voice SA 3.  She will also share more about her crazy journey to date.

“During the past seventeen years, there has been countless tour buses and planes, long hours on the road to somewhere, late night parties on top of more late night parties, very early mornings, endless sleepless nights, very many known and unknown faces, old and new friendships, a lot of love, and tons of music that was written in many different places. The memories of the people who were there for the stories behind the tunes may differ from mine. But who will ever know whose version is correct? The details get blurry very quickly… but this is what I remember,” says Francois van Coke.
