Our eyes are the mirror of our personalities. They are the means by which we shine, each in our unique way. They reveal our inner beauty and individuality, casting a spell of enchantment on the world around us. Part of the 2013 Look for spring/summer, the “Dear Eyes…” Limited Edition from Dr.Hauschka places the eyes in the spotlight. The warm, delicate colours of the Dr.Hauschka Eyeshadow Trio palette – sparkling nude, pearly rose and matt chocolate – form the heart of the five-item special edition. These nude tones develop their own nuances on each individual’s skin. The Limited Edition includes Kajal Eyeliner black featuring premium marula oil as well as Volume Mascara black. While it’s new formula makes Kajal Eyeliner even smoother, Volume Mascara comes with a new brush that gives the lashes even more volume. The Limited Edition also includes two brushes made with natural hair, an Eye Definer Brush and an Eyeshadow Blender Brush. They can be used to apply the new eyeshadow more easily and precisely; to blend and define. The five products of the new Limited Edition come in elegant, shimmering, copper-coloured packaging suitable to the subtle spring/summer colours of the Eyeshadow Trio palette. “Dear Eyes…” will be available in stores starting on 1 February 2013.

Vibrant radiance meets gentle lustre – Dr.Hauschka Eyeshadow Trio palette
The three shades of the “Dear Eyes…” eyeshadow palette make the colour of the iris even more radiant. The gently shimmering sparkling nude tone not only provides an ideal foundation for make-up on the eyelid, but also provides highlights that make the eye appear larger. The silky, sparkling pearly rose colour lends the face a touch of freshness, while matt chocolate gives depth to the eyes. All three eyeshadows contain fine silk powder and extracts of kidney vetch, witch hazel and black tea to care for the delicate skin around the eyes and give them a sparkling, shining allure.

Provides a necessary contrast – Dr.Hauschka Eyeliner black with new formula
A little light, a little dark. Eyes love the contrast. And Dr.Hauschka Eyeliner black can provide it in the blink of an eye. Thanks to its new formula featuring a composition of botanical oils and waxes, it is pleasantly smooth and can highlight the uniqueness of every eye shape. Premium marula and canola oils moisturise and protect the area around the eye.

Effectively accentuates the look – Dr.Hauschka Volume Mascara black
Volume Mascara black comes with a new brush that gives the lashes even more volume and curl, lending the eyes a dramatic touch. A composition of beeswax, candelilla wax, rose wax and silk protectively envelops each individual lash. Trusted extracts of black tea, neem and eyebright care for the sensitive skin surrounding the eye.

Brings colour to the eyelids – Dr.Hauschka Eyeshadow Blender Brush
With this premium brush made from natural hair at hand to apply and blend make-up, Dr.Hauschka cosmetics are even more enjoyable to use. The individual eyeshadow colours can be applied evenly to large areas with the flat, rounded brush. The Eyeshadow Blender Brush can then be used to blend each shade, resulting in a more harmonious look.

Places the eyes in the spotlight – Dr.Hauschka Eye Definer Brush
The Eye Definer Brush is the smaller sibling of the Eyeshadow Blender Brush. Made from natural hair, it is also flat with rounded edges. The Eye Definer Brush can be used to define the upper and lower lash line as well as to apply highlights to the lid crease and outer corner of the eye.

Make-up tips for day and evening from Dr.Hauschka Make-up-Artist Karim Sattar

The best way to start the day – for the office or everyday

Use the Eyeshadow Blender Brush to apply pearly rose eyeshadow from the inner corner to the middle of the upper lid. Apply highlights under the eyebrow and in the inner corner of the eye with sparkling nude; follow by emphasising the outer corner of the eye, the crease of the lid and the lower lash line with matt chocolate. For best results, use the Eye Definer Brush. Next, accentuate the shape of the eye with Kajal Eyeliner black: apply along the upper and lower lash line and smudge lightly using the applicator. Finally, apply Volume Mascara black to the lashes. Tip: First brush mascara onto the lower lashes, then the upper. This prevents the formation of a black streak on the upper eyelid if you open your eyes especially wide to apply mascara to the lower lashes.

Natural transformation from day to evening

The daytime make-up look can easily be transformed to evening make-up. The new look for evening can be applied over the daytime make-up. Apply Kajal Eyeliner black generously along the edge of the upper lid and use the applicator to blend upwards over the entire upper lid. Accentuate the inside edge of the lower lid with Kajal Eyeliner black as well. Use the Eyeshadow Blender Brush to add a small amount of pearly rose eyeshadow from the inner corner to the middle of the upper lid. Follow by using the Eye Definer Brush to apply matt chocolate eyeshadow to the outer corner of the eye and the crease of the lid and along the edge of the lower lid. Use sparkling nude to provide highlights under the eyebrow. To subtly accent the cheekbones, place some sparkling nude and pearly rose eyeshadow on a rouge brush and apply to the cheeks. Reapply Volume Mascara black to the lashes. You have now created a sophisticated, shimmering look for evening.
